How a Bufftech vinyl fence is made.

The base ingredient is rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride) modified to provide exceptional impact strength and ultraviolet (UV) resistance. This vinyl fence formulation is similar to that of vinyl siding, which has a history of providing long-term durability and structural integrity.

It is extremely strong!

PVC can be impact modified. However, Bufftech has tailored its vinyl fence formulations to meet or exceed the requirements necessary for excellent performance in the field. Flexibility is the norm and a benefit of vinyl fence, allowing the fence to retain its strength and shape. Most of Bufftech vinyl fence products feature a steel reinforced bottom rail for a stronger more rigid fence – reducing the chances of sagging or bowing.

Engineered to accommodate extreme weather hot or cold.

As with most plastics, vinyl becomes less flexible in colder weather conditions. However, unless the vinyl fence is subjected to unusual impact, it will not break. It is normal for material to expand and contract during temperature changes. Bufftech products contain 10 parts titanium dioxide (TIO2), which reduces the likelihood of ultraviolet degradation – which is what causes the vinyl fence to turn yellow.

No need for paint, the vinyl fence is beautiful.

There should be no reason to paint your Bufftech vinyl fence, they come in a variety of different beautiful colors and textures. There is just no need to mess with the hassle of painting and ongoing touch-ups! (In fact, any painting of a Bufftech vinyl fence voids the written warranty)

PVC has a high flash point of 900°F and does not readily ignite. It is therefore categorized as being “self-extinguishing”.
