What and Who Is Covered and for How Long
CertainTeed warrants to the original homeowner/purchaser that its Bufftech vinyl fence products will
be free from manufacturing defects–including peeling, flaking, blistering and corroding–when subject
to normal and proper use.
Should any manufacturing defect occur during the lifetime of the original homeowner (and as long as
the original homeowner is still living and retains ownership of the property), CertainTeed will repair
or replace, at its sole option, the defective fence product. Except during the SureStart™ protection period,
CertainTeed shall not be liable or responsible for labor charges or other expenses whatsoever
in connection with removal or installation of either the original or replacement product. CertainTeed
also reserves the right to refund the amount paid by the original purchaser for the fence product.
In the event of repair or replacement under the terms of this limited warranty, the original warranty
shall apply to the repaired or replacement fence product, and will extend for the balance of the
warranty period in effect at the time the original product proved defective by CertainTeed.
The lifetime coverage offered by this limited warranty automatically ends upon the sale of the property
or death of the last of the original owners of the property at the time of installation.
The lifetime coverage offered by this limited warranty is designed to cover original individual
homeowners only. In the case of fence product purchased by, or installed upon property owned
by corporations, governmental agencies, partnerships, trusts, religious organizations, schools,
condominiums, homeowner associations, cooperative housing arrangements, apartment buildings,
or any other type of building or premises not used by individual homeowners as their residences,
the warranty period will be 30 years following the installation of the fence.
CertainTeed vinyl fence products are covered by SureStart™ protection for a period of five years
following the date when installation has been completed. Under this warranty
feature, CertainTeed, at no charge, will repair or replace, at its sole option, any
fence proven to be defective by CertainTeed during the five-year SureStart™
period. CertainTeed’s maximum liability under SureStart™ will be equal to
the reasonable cost to replace the defective fence product at its current value,
including the reasonable costs of labor.

Orders are shipped direct from the manufacturer. Items ship within 5-7 business days. Vinyl fence orders are shipped via freight truck. Shipping is charged based on the total value of the order. You can view the exact amount in the cart BEFORE checking out, just enter your zip code and click apply - it will calculate your fee.
Large shipments will be delivered on pallets which you will need to unload off the truck. A forklift is generally used to offload large shipments, but the pallets can be opened up and broken down to offload by hand. Most residential deliveries will need to be offloaded by hand.
The driver is only responsible to get the order to the end of the truck. It will be your responsibility to remove it. (This only applies to common carrier/freight truck deliveries, not UPS or FedEx deliveries.)
REFUNDS AND RETURNS:
PLEASE REVIEW YOUR LAYOUT/FOOTAGE CAREFULLY AND CALL US IF IN DOUBT. Vinyl fencing is customized special order and all sales are final - they cannot be returned. However, in case of damaged or missing goods, it is the trucking company's responsibility to get your items to you in good condition. Any shortage or damage must be noted on the bill of loading at the time of delivery. If damage is found after the driver has left, the trucking company must be notified and a claim filed. Please make all claims promptly. It is your responsibility to seek reimbursement from the trucking company for any damages or shortages, but we will help you in any way we can. The trucking company will provide the appropriate forms for filing a claim.
